Enabled features are what determines what features a user has access to within Revver. These features can be configured on new and existing users, but also user groups.
This article will go over a comprehensive list of these features, including the pre-configured feature sets, and show you exactly what each one does.
Access & Feature Requirements
In order to see and modify a users enabled features, you must have the following user features enabled on your account.
Note: Group management is only required if you are editing the enabled features on a group.
Enabled Feature Sets
Revver comes with three pre-configured enabled features sets. These are provided as an easy way to limit users to only what features they need to use without having to micromanage their access.
Documents Only
The 'Documents Only' enabled features set comes with the following features enabled:
This gives them enough access to view, share, and upload files. They also have access to the various previewer tools (with the exception of form fill), third party software integrations (such as O365), file specific audit logs, and potentially item permissions.
Many of the enabled features are further limited by what item permissions they have. For example: If a user has the 'Item Permissions' enabled features, they could only alter the item permissions if they also had the 'Admin' item permission enabled on the location or file itself.
Full Features
The 'Full Features' enabled features set comes with the following features enabled:
In addition to the features provided by the 'Documents Only' set, this gives them access to all Revver features, including workflows, eSignature, document requests, and form fill.
As stated in the 'Documents Only' section, many of these features can still be limited by item permissions. For example, features like eSignature and Document Requests would also require the user to have the 'Edit' permission on the item in question.
Admin
The 'Admin' enabled features set comes with all user features enabled:
This gives a user complete administrative control over the account. This would include, but is not limited to:
User access control
System settings
Branding
SSO/SAML
Security Policies.
Etc.
It also provides the user with the ability to manage various features, such as workflows, which would allow the user to see and delete workflow instances.
Custom Enabled Features Set
Below the 'Admin' enabled features set, you can find the 'Custom' option, which allows you to fine tune what feature access the user or group has.
Note: When clicking on a pre-configured enabled features set and then subsequently clicking on 'Custom', it will retain the same checked features as the previously selected set. For example: If you click on 'Admin', and then click on 'Custom', it will have all features checked.
β
This is to allow you to easily fine tune the pre-configured enabled features sets to your organizations needs.
