This article covers instructions on how you can add governance rules to your templates in Revver.
Access and Permissions Requirements
For a user to create or edit a template with governance rules on it, they will require the 'Template Management' and 'Governance' user permissions.
Adding or Editing Governance Rules within a Template
Step 1 - Access The Template Library
Within Revver, click on the 'All Features' button on the left hand side of your screen and select the 'Folder Templates' option.
Step 2 - Choose or Create a Template
Templates are contained within Template Libraries, so click on the template library that has your template in it, or where you would like to create one.
If creating a new template, click on 'New Template' at the top right.
If editing an existing template, choose it from the list within the template library. Click on it to open it for editing.
In this example I'll be editing a template named 'Governance Sub-folder Test'.
Step 3 - Open the Governance Panel
Within the template edit screen, you have the power to create new folders or edit existing ones. In this example, I'll be editing the governance settings on an existing folder.
Select the folder you wish to have governance settings applied to and then select the 'Governance' icon on the toolbar on the right-hand side of the screen to open the governance panel for that item.
Step 4 - Add or Edit Governance to the Item
With the governance panel open, you can add new governance rules to the item by clicking the + button at the top.
If there are existing governance settings that you would simply like to edit, you can do so by clicking on the 'Edit' button to the right of the listed setting.
Step 5 - Sync Changes or Apply the Template
If you are editing an existing template, you can apply these changes to every location this template has been applied to by clicking on the 'Sync Changes' button at the button of the template edit page.
If this is a new template, you can instead move on to applying the template to locations within your Revver account.
