This guide will show you how to create automation to apply templates to new locations and files automatically!

To begin, click on the Cabinet, Drawer or Folder that you want to automatically apply a template to. This is done in the Folder View Pane.

Click on the bell icon In the Details Pane to navigate to the Automation menu.

Click on the '+' icon in the top right to add a new automation.

Under Action click the dropdown menu and select the option 'Apply Template'.

Click on the 'Select Template' button to bring up a list of your templates to choose from.

Choose a template that you would like to apply to new Drawers in the Cabinet.

  • In our example, we have chosen the template “Rubex 2022 Small Company” which was created to include the folders named “Custom Details 2022,” “Custom Tax Management 2022,” and “Detailing 2022” in newly created Drawers.

Once you see that your template has been selected, click the 'Save' button to save the newly created automation.

To test the new setting you have just saved you can create a new drawer, you should see the folders you created appear in this new drawer. Remember if it does not show up instantly you may need to refresh your view.
