Documents That You Have Checked Out

In Revver there are a couple of ways to check in documents. If you checked out the documents that you would like to check in you can go to the file location where the checked out documents exist. Once you find the documents to check in you will see two options.

You can click on this icon to check in a file with changes. If you are using Revver from your web browser you will be prompted to re-upload the file with the changes made to it. If you are using the Revver desktop application you should be able to save and close the document that you made changes to and click this icon to check it in.

You can click on this icon to check in a file without changes. Whether you are using Revver from your browser or through the desktop application you can click this option and the item will be immediately checked in without further prompts.

Documents That Other Users Have Checked Out

If you are using Revver and come across a file that has a yellow lock icon on the document icon but no check in buttons then you have found a document that has been checked out by another user (see example below).

To check in files that have been checked out by other users you will need to have Administrator permissions. To check in files that have been checked out by other users:

  • In the left navigation menu select ‘All Features’.

  • Under the ‘Documents’ section select ‘Checked Out’.

  • At the top of the checked out menu select the option to view ‘Account Checked Out Files’.

  • Select the files that you would like to check in by clicking the checkbox.

  • At the top of the list select the ‘Force check in’ button.

  • A pop-up will appear confirming that you want to force check in the file or files. Please note that files that are forced checked in will not be checked in with any of the changes that may have been applied since the file was checked out.

The following clip shows the process of checking in files that have been checked out by other users.
