This article explains how to apply and save redactions to your documents. By following these instructions, users can easily redact sensitive information from their documents, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
Access & Permissions Requirements
To utilize this function, users must have access to the 'Previewer Tools' user permission.
Alongside that, users must have the 'View' and 'Edit' permissions on the document they wish to add redactions to.
Instructions - Redacting a Document in Revver
Step 1 - Select a Document
From your documents view in Revver, click on and select a document you want to add a redaction to.
Step 2 - Preview the Document
With the document selected, click on the 'Eye' icon located in the side-sheet on the right hand side of the Revver screen.
Step 3 - Access the Redaction Tool
In the previewer, locate the drop down menu at the top. Click on it and select the 'Redact' tool from the list.
Step 4 - Redact text
Draw a box around the text you would like to redact using the selected tool.
Step 5 - Apply Redaction
After selecting text you would like to redact, it will appear in a list on the right hand side of the previewer. Click on 'Redact All' to save the redactions permanently to the document.
Note, if you are using the full-screen previewer, the list will appear automatically. If not, you may need to click the 'Redaction List' button at the top of the previewer to expand it out.
Once you've applied the redactions, the text will be redacted whenever you preview or download the document.
