Email messages are just a few of the many types of supported files you can upload to your Revver account. The Revver previewer supports both .eml and .msg email file types. For stored emails that include attachments, here is how you can download those attachments and some tips on how to easily store them into Revver to separate them from the original email message.

Access & Permissions Required

In order to upload files such as emails, your user will require the 'Write' permission on a location so that you can upload to it.

Accessing Email Attachments in Revver

Within Revver, navigate to and click on a stored email file. Click on the 'Previewer' icon in the sidesheet on the right to preview it.

If your email has an attachment, you will see it denoted by a paperclip icon at the top right of the previewer panel. Click on it and you will see a list of available attachments on that email.

Clicking on any of the listed attachments will open the attachment. In the Revver Desktop app, a pop-out window will appear with a stand-alone previewer instance showing the document, in a browser it will open in a new tab.

Saving Attachments back to Revver

Here are some tips and ideas to help streamline the process of getting attachments stored back into Revver as separate files from the email they were contained in. Both of the following methods require the Revver Desktop app to be installed. If you haven't installed that, please see the following guide:

Method #1 - Watched Folder

With the attachment open in the standalone previewer window, clicking on the 'Save' icon at the top right will prompt you to save it to your computer.

If you have a watched folder set up within the Revver Desktop app, save it to that folder and it will become immediately available to upload into a location of your choice in your Revver account.

For more information on Watched folders, see the following guide showcasing how to set one up in the Revver Desktop app.

Method #2 - Revver Printer

Also within the standalone previewer window with your attachment, click on the 'Print' icon at the top right.

When prompted to choose which printer to print to, choose the 'Sent to Revver' printer. This will convert the attachment to a PDF and send it to your Revver Desktop app to be uploaded anywhere within your Revver account.

For more information on the Send to Revver printer add-on, see the following guide on how to print & scan into the Revver Desktop app.
