A watched folder can be used to automatically add files from a specific windows folder in to the upload queue. Files uploaded successfully using the watched folder are automatically deleted from the windows folder. In this article we will go over how to set a watched folder on a windows environment.

Access & Feature Requirements

To create a watch folder there are technically no permissions required, but to utilize the watch folder to upload documents you would need at least create item permissions on the location you are attempting to upload to:

Creating a Watched Folder

Step 1 Navigating To the Settings menu

Open the Revver desktop application and select the gear icon in the top right:

Step 2 - Selecting the watched folder

With the settings menu open select the option Set Watched folder and select the folder you would like to be the watched folder on your PC.

Once you have navigated into the folder you wish to be watched by Revver, select open and you should see the watch folder path indicate where it is now watching for files:

When choosing a watched folder, we recommend against choosing any system folders on your computer. That includes your Desktop, Documents, or any root level folders on your hard drive.

When items are brought into the upload queue from a watched folder, once they are uploaded, they are deleted from the folder. Items brought into the Revver upload queue and then removed are also deleted.

Items deleted in this way are not sent to the recycle bin and are permanently deleted.
