How to Add and Edit Notes

This article covers how to add and edit notes on files and containers within Revver

Notes can be used in Revver to add additional information to items without editing the original. The Notes feature can also serve as a way to handle reminders, task-lists and leaving notes for other team members.

In this article we will cover how to add and edit notes on any item in the documents menu.


Access/Permissions Requirements

In order to use the Notes feature you must have either a full or essentials user license.


Adding Notes

In this section we will cover how to add notes to items.

1. Accessing Notes

Select an item in the documents menu by left clicking it. After doing so select the 'Notes' icon in the sidebar. It looks like a chat bubble:

2. Posting the Note

After selecting the Notes icon you can enter text into the text box at the bottom of the sidebar. When you are ready to post the note select the up arrow next to the text box:

Once posted, notes are displayed when the notes icon is selected in the sidesheet. The note will include the text, date/time of addition, and the user who posted it:


Editing Notes

1. Accessing Notes

Select an item in the documents menu by left clicking it. After doing so select the 'Notes' icon in the sidebar. It looks like a chat bubble:

2. Editing Your Note

Please note that you can only edit your own notes

To edit a note that you created, hover your cursor over the note:

Two icons will appear: a Pencil (edit) and a Trash Can (delete). Click the Pencil Icon:

Update your comment in the provided text box and select save to finalize the changes:
