Please Note: SideKick is no longer a supported application.

As the Revver Desktop App and SideKick share many add-ons, this guide is designed to assist you in uninstalling everything related to SideKick in the correct order before making that transition.

Uninstalling SideKick Add-ons

When making the move to the Revver Desktop App, it is best practice to begin this process by first uninstalling all add-ons that were installed by SideKick.

Step 1 - Open SideKick and Locate the Add-ons Menu

Start by opening up SideKick and logging in, then clicking on the ‘Add-ons’ button at the bottom left.

In the add-ons list, uncheck all currently checked options and hit ‘Apply’ to begin uninstalling them.

Step 2 - Uninstalling SideKick

The following uninstall instructions are based on a Windows 11 install of SideKick.

After these add-ons have completed uninstalling, you can now uninstall SideKick from within Windows. Start by doing the following:

  • Click on the Windows Start menu icon at the bottom left hand side of your screen

  • Type in 'Add or Remove Programs'

  • Select the control panel item that appears in the list

In the 'Add or Remove Programs' window, locate SideKick -- it should either be called 'SideKick' or 'eFileCabinet SideKick'. Click on it, and then choose the uninstall option.

(Optional) Step 3 - Remove SideKick from your Startup Programs

If you previously configured SideKick to start when Windows booted up, you will want to remove it from your startup programs list. Otherwise the application will attempt to reinstall itself when it starts up.

The easiest way to do this is to open up your Windows Task Manager and use the 'Startup Apps' tab to disable SideKick from opening when Windows boots up.
