Instructions for upgrading the Revver Mac desktop app

We now have an updated Revver desktop app for Mac computers. This new version supports the new Revver product experience, including the new look and feel, new homepage, improved navigation, and more. It also includes the new previewer and document tools and many other minor fixes and improvements.

The new Revver desktop app for Mac replaces the previous Rubex desktop app for Mac. Please follow the steps below to install the new Revver app and uninstall the Rubex app.

In the new Revver product experience it is the “Download the Revver Desktop App” option under the “?” Help menu:

In the old Revver product experience it is the Download icon at the top of the screen:

Simply install the new app by double clicking on the RevverInstaller.dmg file that would have downloaded:

Then simply click and drag it to your Applications folder in this screen:

Then just launch the new Revver app to automatically copy your settings from the previous Rubex desktop app. It will be included in your Applications folder, which you can easily access by double clicking the Applications icon in the pop-up window:

Find the Revver app in the list:

Before opening the Revver app, you can optionally drag it to your menu bar so that it is easy to access in the future:

Then double click the Revver app to launch it. The first time you may get prompted to confirm that you want to open it by clicking the Open button:

The first time you open the Revver app you’ll also get a screen confirming that we are copying all of your settings from the Rubex app. You will also be able to allow notifications from the app:

Finally you will just need to confirm which version of the Revver product you are using based on your region:

Then simply login and start enjoying the updated Revver desktop app!

Once the Revver app has been installed and the settings have been copied from your previous Rubex app, you can uninstall the old app.

Start by quitting the app.

Then simply find the Rubex app on the list within your Applications folder and drag it to the trash icon on your menu bar. That’s it! The old version is uninstalled!
