Item permissions provide a valuable mechanism to fine-tune the access and type of access that different users are granted. With the ability to specify permissions for cabinet, drawers, folders, and documents, you can ensure that each user is granted only the necessary access required for them to perform their specific tasks. Through the use of item permissions, you can enhance security and streamline workflows, enabling your organization to operate more efficiently and effectively.

To apply permissions to the Account workspace/cabinet/drawer/folder/file, please do the following:

1. Select the item that needs permission changes in the Folder View pane on the left.

2. Click the permissions Icon on the right of the screen πŸ‘€

3. Current User Permissions will populate as the Details pane appears.

4. Select the Plus Symbol at the top of the Details Pane, '+'.

5. To configure the permissions of the item we first need to select the user this will affect, to do so search for, or enter the username or group for which permissions should be applied.

6. Select the desired permissions.

7. Select an 'Inheritance Behavior'.

  • Default (applies to this item and all of its descendants) means that every item within this location will have the permissions you add to this user or group.

  • Applies to this item only means that the permissions you are applying are strictly for this location the descendants will not inherit this update and all items within this location will not be updated to match your selection.

Click 'Save' when you are finished to complete this permission change.
