In the context of data sharing, permissions serve as an essential tool for enhancing security measures. By designating permissions to specific users, the confidentiality and integrity of the shared data can be protected from unauthorized access or modifications. Permissions act as a set of rules that determine the level of access and control that each user has over an item. By utilizing permissions, users can easily manage and track who has access to which data, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations. Therefore, the implementation of permissions is crucial for maintaining the security of shared data in any organization.

To Edit existing permissions on an item (Account Workspace/Cabinet/Drawer/Folder/File) you will need to:

Select the item in the Folder View Pane (left) or the Document View Pane (center) pane of the screen.

Click the 'Permissions button' on the far right side of the Details Pane (Right).

Once the list opens the current permissions will be available there.

To edit the displayed permissions, click the Edit icon πŸ“

You can now edit the basic permissions by checking or un-checking the boxes under the corresponding permission column. For Advanced permissions, click the View button.

To configure the permissions for this item:

1. Select the needed permissions.

2. Select the required inheritance behavior.

3. To confirm the updates hit the "Save" Button.
