Sharing via Link

NOTE: Sharing via a link does not require a username and password to login. You can increase security by adding an expiration date and maximum number of uses before expiration. We will go into more detail regarding these features in the “Advanced Settings” section, below.

First, right click the file or folder you would like to share. Select the ‘Shareable Link’ button.

This will open the ‘Shareable Link Settings’ window. Here, you can choose to require a name and email to view the shared file.

Next, copy the link generated from this window, and share. Hit the ‘Close’ Button.

Advanced Settings - Link Sharing

Select the ‘Advanced Settings’ button to open the ‘Shareable Link Advanced Settings’ window.

Here, you can set the number of uses remaining before expiration and/or a date of expiration.

Sharing via Email

Creating the Guest User Account

First, an Admin will need to set them up as a guest user. They can do this by following these steps:

Login to Revver with Admin credentials. Select the “Menu Expansion Button” in the left side navigation menu. Select the “All Features” button to access the All Features pop-out menu.

In the All Features pop-out menu, select the “Users” button.

Select “Add User” in the right hand corner. Create the user account, and ensure the proper licensing and permissions are in place.

Note: Once you have created the user, they will receive an email to create their own password.

Folder Level Permission

Next, you need to ensure they have permissions on a folder level. You can do this by following these steps:

First, select the folder you would like them to upload into or view. Next, select the ‘Permissions Icon’ in the right hand pane.

Select the ‘+’ plus sign icon to add the guest user. Ensure all proper permissions are in place.

Share the Folder

Right click the folder, select the ‘Share’ button. Enter the guest user email address, Subject Line, and message. Select ‘Advanced Settings’ to ensure all settings are properly put in place. (Read more about Advanced Settings in the section below.)

Note: When your guest user selects the link in their email, they will be directed to our portal to login with their username (email address) and password.

Advanced Settings - Email Sharing

To access the ‘Email Sharing Advanced Settings’ window, select ‘Advanced Settings’.

Here, you have several different options:

First, you can change the recipient's shared permissions. Second, you can choose to be notified when the shared file or folder is uploaded, downloaded, and deleted. Last, you have the option to select an expiration date.
