Just like on your computer, files, and folders can be deleted and sent to your Recycling Bin. This is a temporary storage location where files can be Permanently Deleted (Purged) or Restored. The Recycle Bin acts as a safeguard for accidental deletions by temporarily storing files and folders before they are permanently erased, giving users the opportunity to recover unexpected deletions.
Access & Feature Requirements
Users with permission to “Delete” can send specific files or structures (e.g., cabinets, drawers, and folders) to the Recycling Bin.
To access Recycle bin you will need a full license with the 'File Management' enabled feature.
Accessing the Recycle Bin
To access the Recycling Bin, Click the ‘All Features’ Tab. Click the ‘Recycle Bin’
The Recycle Bin page will show your deleted documents and/or deleted structures. Deleted files or folders are sent here as a temporary measure rather than being immediately removed, allowing users to restore items if needed.
Restoring Deleted Items
Navigate to the Item(s) you would like to Restore or Purge. By selecting your desired Item(s), the Permanently Delete (Purge) and the Restore icons can now be selected. Additionally, to select multiple files, you can hold down the CTRL key (on Windows) while clicking on individual files or use the SHIFT key to select a range by clicking the first and last files in the series.
You can also Filter and Search for Files and Structures inside of the Recycling Bin to quickly find the specific Item(s) you may want to Permanently Delete (Purge) or Restore.
Purging files from your recycle bin in Revver results in a permanent and irrecoverable deletion.
Items that have been deleted or purged will generate entries in your audit logs with additional information as to who or when it happened.
