Profile items are used to fill out the content of a profile. Profiles are then applied to users, locations, and files to store the content of those items.

For help applying an existing profile to an item see this article.

For help applying an existing profile to a user see this article.

For help adding your profile items to a profile see the adding profile items section in this article.

This article guides you through creating profile items in Revver, allowing you to apply specific data to locations, documents, or users without modifying the original source.

Access/Permissions Requirements

You must have a full license within Revver to access profile information on files and folders. If you are looking to create, edit, and delete profiles and profile items, you will need to have the 'Profile Management' permission selected under the 'Work Management' permission group selected in the 'User Permissions' section of your user account:

Creating the Items

1. Navigating to Profile Items

Start by selecting 'All Features' and then select 'Profiles':

Within the Profiles section, locate and click on 'Profile Items':

2. Creating a Profile Item

On the Profile Items screen, click 'Create Profile Item.' This is located in the top right corner of your screen:

As an example, let's create a profile item for email addresses. In the 'Name' field, enter a descriptive name for your profile item, such as 'Email.'

  • From the dropdown menu, select the appropriate type for your profile item (e.g., email, text, number).

  • Optionally, you can set a default value if this profile information will commonly appear across multiple locations.

  • Once configured, click 'Add' to finalize and save your profile item.
