Template libraries are containers for folder templates. When creating a folder template it will need to be created under a template library. If you have already created your template library, you can click here for an article on creating a folder template. In this article we will go over how to create a new template library.

Access/Permission Requirements

In order to create a new template library you will need to have a full user license assigned. You will also need the 'Template Management' user permission selected under the 'Work Management' tab in the 'User Permissions' section:

Creating a Template Library

1. Navigating To the Template Libraries

From the all features menu, under work select 'Folder Templates':

Doing this brings you to your template. You may see libraries in here, you may not if no libraries have been created yet.

2. Select 'New Template Library'

Create the Library by Selecting the 'New Template Library' button in the upper right corner:

3. Enter a Library Name and Select Add

Enter a name for the Library. (Some organizations choose to name libraries according to the department, office or group that will be using the folder templates within. See our later section on this.)

Once you have entered a name select 'Add Template Library' to create the library.

4. You Are Ready To Add Folder Templates

You can add as many folder templates as your licensing permits:

See our related articles on adding and managing folder templates in the Need Help section below.

Creating Libraries By Department

One of the best practices when using this feature is to name each library based on the department that will utilize them. For most organizations it is helpful to separate out different department's Folder Templates into their own libraries so they can have the Folder Templates associated with the work that is important to them organized.

Human Resources, Finance, Operations are just a few examples of Libraries that can be created. You have the freedom to name them as you wish.
