With the Revver Desktop app installed on Mac, you can set up a watched folder in OSX that will automatically import files to Revver for upload. In this article we will walk through how to set up a Watched Folder.

Access & Feature Requirements

To set up a watched folder there are technically no required permissions, but to utilize the watch folder to upload documents you would need at least "Create" item permissions on the location you are attempting to upload to:

Setting Up the Watched Folder

1. Create a Folder In OSX

If you do not already have a folder you want to automatically be watched, right click your desktop and select 'New Folder' to create a folder to use as your Watched Folder:

2. Open Revver Desktop App Settings

Open the Revver Desktop App if it is not already open and click on the Settings menu option in the top left of the screen and then click 'Select Watch Folder':

3. Select The Folder In Finder

In the finder window that pops up find and select the folder that you created in Step 1, or if you wish to use an existing folder select it instead:

After you complete the this step your watched folder should be successfully set up. Please test the watched folder's functionality by placing an item you want to upload into Revver in your watched folder.

If your watched folder was successfully set up you should see a new item added to the upload queue in Revver:

Please note, you can place items into the watched folder whether or not Revver is open, but you will need to open Revver to upload the items placed in the watched folder.
