In Revver, all file uploads are processed for both indexing and OCR. Indexing allows your documents to be searchable, while optical character recognition (OCR) allows you to search not just by file name, but by the text you know is contained in the document.
The File Processing Queue
The File Processing Queue is where you can look to see the status of files you upload into Revver. Generally, files that are uploaded complete their processing in a matter of seconds, but this queue will show you any that are still needing to be processed.
Access & Permissions Required
In order to access the File Processing Queue, your user must have the 'File Management' feature enabled.
Accessing the File Processing Queue
To access the File Processing Queue, start by clicking on the 'All Features' option on the left hand side of your screen.
Locate the 'File Processing Queue' option in that menu under the 'Documents' column and click on it.
Navigation, Searching & Filtering
On the File Processing Queue page, it will list any files that are still waiting to be processed.
Files can be searched for using the search bar at the top, or filtered for using the filter button to the right of the search bar.
When searching for files, use the name of the file it was uploaded as to look for any items still within the queue.
Filtering
When filtering for files, the current option available is to filter by "queue date", which corresponds to the date the file was uploaded or created in Revver.
Re-attempting Processing
All files that are uploaded into Revver receive a "try count" of 3. This means that if a file encounters any issues with the file processing operations that take place, Revver will attempt to re-process it three more times before stopping.
If there are any files stuck within your queue for any reason, you may attempt to re-process them by doing the following:
Locate the file you wish to reprocess from the File Processing Queue using search, filtering, or manual navigation.
Check the box to the left of the file to select it.
Click on 'Retry' at the top, to the right of the filter option.
Removing Files
If there are items still in the queue for any reason that you would like removed from the queue, you can remove them by doing the following:
Locate the file you wish to remove from the File Processing Queue using search, filtering, or manual navigation.
Check the box to the left of the file to select it.
Click on 'Delete' at the top, to the right of the filter option.
Errors
If files in your File Processing Queue have failed to process due to errors, they will be listed with both a status and an error message indicating a general reason why.
Common reasons why a file may fail to process include:
The document has any form of outside encryption.
The file is password protected.
The file is potentially damaged.
If you encounter any files in your File Processing Queue that have errors on them, don't hesitate to reach out to our support team for help.
