In the past, within Revver there was an option when generating a link, such as an Access Link or a link for a Document Request, to use a shortened link. These shortened links were generated and maintained by a service from Google and would look something like this:
https://v953w.app.goo.gl/…
That URL would then redirect to the appropriate full Revver URL.
We discontinued using these shortened URLs in the product in November 2024, but the previous shortened URLs will still appropriately redirect to the proper Revver URL. Unfortunately, this service is being discontinued by Google on 8/25/2025 and at that point these previous shortened URLs will stop working (Google will give a 404 error). The full Revver URLs will still function properly.
If you are still using using these old shortened URLs, we recommend that you use the full Revver URL going forward. If you have access to the Access Link Management feature, you can see all of the access links for the account by going to the main access link page (available from All Features → Public Access Links). On that page you will find a list of all of the links created on the account, whether for a file or folder that was shared or for a document request that was sent. Simply click on the item and you will be able to view and copy the full Revver URL so that you can use the appropriate link that will continue to work. If it is a shared file or folder in Revver, you will find (and be able to copy) the link by clicking on the link icon to the right of the location name.
If you have an old shortened URL and you not sure what it is for and can’t find the item you are looking for on the main access link page, you can also always simply create the share link again. If needed, you can also contact our Technical Services team with the shortened URL and they can look up what it was for.
