This article covers how to install the Revver Desktop app. The desktop app can be used to access your Revver account and offers the above and other features that are unavailable in the web browser.
What Are the Benefits of Using the Revver Desktop App?
The experience when using the Revver desktop app is very similar to the Revver web app within your internet browser. There are a few specific functionalities offered within the desktop app that you may find useful:
Additional Upload Options - The watched folder, printer, and scanner are only available on the desktop app. The watched folder allows you to queue files for upload automatically from a windows folder.
Check In/Check Out - If you are regularly editing files in Revver, the desktop allows for smoother check-out and editing of files. You can double-click a file and have it automatically check it out and open it in your computer's default program for that file type. After saving your changes and closing the file, the desktop app can be set to automatically check that file back into Revver as a new version.
Drag and Drop - The desktop app allows you to drag a copy of a file out of Revver to your local machine. It also allows you to drag files in for upload from locations in windows.
