There are multiple ways to share documents with internal and external users in Revver. This article goes over the differences between Quick Access Links and Public Access Links.

Quick Access Links

Quick access links are internal links that necessitate the user to possess both a Revver account and appropriate permissions to access the intended item. If either of these prerequisites is not met, access to the shared item will be denied. It is worth noting that quick access links inherently provide a higher level of security compared to public access links.

Public Access Links

Public access links (also known as shareable access links or anonymous access links) allow both internal and external users to access shared files without requiring a Revver account or access permissions. However, this convenience comes at the cost of lower security when compared to quick access links.

In order to provide some level of control over public access links, users have the option to enable certain features such as requiring visitors to leave their name and email address, setting permissions for viewing and/or downloading files, limiting the number of successful access, and setting an expiration date for the link.

From the Home page you can go to ‘All Features’ and then to the ‘Public Access Links’ under the ‘People’ section.

Also please note that any actions that occur with a document or other item shared via public access links will show up in the Audit Logs with ‘anonymous’ as the user as well as the user who created the public access link.
