New improvement: Email Import metadata
A major enhancement to Email Import is that Revver now captures and stores important metadata about imported emails and attachments.
Previously, imported files did not include this level of email-specific detail and to leverage some of the similar data it was dependent on OCR picking up the info from the file and making it available to search using the Full Text search option inside Revver. With the new experience, files brought in through Email Import now include an Email Import details section in the file details panel with more information that is consistent and reliable.

Metadata captured for imported files
Depending on the email, Revver can store details such as:
Sender name
Sender email
Import from name
Import from email
Recipients
Date received
Subject line
Email Import ID
Message ID
Why this metadata matters
This added metadata makes imported files much easier to track and manage. For example, you can:
identify who sent an email and who received it
see when the message was received
reference the original subject line
connect related imported files from the same email
search using the Email Import ID to find all files associated with one imported message, including attachments
This is especially valuable for organizations and use cases that are importing a high volume of emails into Revver. The new Message ID that is being captured and stored also provides a link between the files that were imported. For example, if you had 10 attachments that were imported into Revver, and through a dedicated process or over time some files were moved from the original location, you can still reference the Message ID in search to find all of the original files associated with that imported email regardless of their location in Revver.
Where to view Email Import details
If a file was imported using Email Import, you can view its metadata in the file’s Details page in document sidesheet.
Look for the Email Import details section to see the captured email information.
