This article outlines the steps to change default search filters. When searching for items, various filters such as Name, Profile, Created by, Comments, Full Text, Path, and others are available. If you prefer a particular search method and need to uncheck one or more filters and perform a new search, changing the default search filters can enable you to customize your search options to suit your preferences.
Changing Your Search Filters
Select the account menu on the top right corner and select 'My Settings'.
Under the 'User Settings' tab scroll to 'Default Search Settings' and edit as preferred.
Select the 'Update' button to your changes save changes.
