The Notifications features in Revver allow you to stay on top of to-do items and notifications from any location in Revver. While the Home page features the “Your To-Do Items” and “Work You Care About” sections, the bell icon in the header at the top of Revver is another valuable place to manage your notifications. Here’s how you can use these features in Revver:

  • Manage work across users more efficiently. Notifications can be used to keep track of work across your account and your to-do items with direct links to the files you need to access to complete tasks.

  • Handle time-sensitive tasks more confidently. Because your notifications refresh automatically every time you land on the home page or open the Notifications menu, you’ll be able to receive timely alerts from any page within Revver.

  • Stay focused on your priorities by quickly customizing your notifications. You can dismiss To-do items individually and you have the option to delete other notifications individually, in bulk, or by the last 30 days to keep your view clear and uncluttered.

Access/Permissions Requirements

Users of all license types have access to Notifications features.

Instructions to Access Notifications

Step 1: Log into Revver

Step 2: From the homepage, you will see the three areas where notifications appear: “Your to-do items” and “Work you care about” sections on the home page and the bell icon in the header.

Step 3: You can click on the names of each section to go to a page for each of them. You can click on the bell icon to open the Notifications menu from the header.

Notifications Overview

Using to-do items

This section on the homepage is where you can keep track of the work you need to do in Revver. Clicking on the title of the section takes you to a new page called “Your To-Do Items” with three tabs:

  1. Active To-Dos. Here is where you can see the open, incomplete work on your list.

  2. Completed. This tab shows all of the work you’ve marked complete off your list.

  3. Dismissed. Items that were dismissed can be completed or restored back on your list from this tab.

You can also search and filter by date to help find a specific item across all three tabs.

From the header, you can view your to-do items at any time by clicking the bell icon. This opens the Notifications menu. The To-do tab will show the same list of to-do items as the home page. As items are added, you’ll see the count of items next to the tab title.

Dismissing To-Do items

From the Notification menu in the header, you can hover over an item to find and click a dot menu. From there, you can have the option to “Dismiss to-do item.”

Once dismissed, the item will no longer show in the header or on the home page, but can be found in the Your To-Do Items table in the “Dismissed” tab. You can restore a dismissed item by hovering over the item in the table and clicking on the dot menu. From there, click “Restore to-do item” to return the item onto your to-do list.

Using “Work you care about”

It can be helpful to be aware of work that others in your account are doing in Revver. This section is an activity feed featuring other users’ work, such as uploads, comments, adding new users, sharing actions, and more. Clicking on the notifications in this area can take you directly to the relevant place in Revver, such as to the file or to a Workflow stage referenced in the item.

This area is also for automated notifications that you have set up (or that others have set up to include you) to receive from Revver. For example, you can set up an automated alert to be notified when a file is uploaded to a specific location or before a governance policy will expire on a file.

Deleting Notifications

From the bell icon in the header, you can open the Notifications tab from the Notifications menu. You can hover over an item in here (or from the “Work you care about” section on the homepage) to see a dot menu. From either place, clicking the dot menu gives you the option to delete the notification. When you click this, Revver will delete the notification from both the section on the home page and from the header for your view, but does not impact any other user’s view of their home page or header. This action also only deletes the notification and does not delete any files or work that the item references.

With the Notifications tab open in the header, you can also click a dot menu in the top of the menu to delete notifications in bulk. Clicking the dot menu gives you the option to “Delete all notifications” or “Delete all notifications older than 30 days” for easy ways to keep your view clear and uncluttered.

Refreshing Notifications

From the bell icon in the header, you can open the Notifications menu. From either the To-do tab or the Notifications tab, you can click the dot menu in the top right to refresh your notification view instantly. Your notifications refresh automatically every time you navigate to the home page or open the Notifications menus, but you can use this feature to force an instant refresh when needed.
